October Happenings

October was a busy month with the birthday celebrations and Open Day.

We also had a couple of car clubs visiting the hangar.  The Jowett Car Club had a good time although, due to the weather, only one Jowett actually made the trip.  The club members had a deluxe morning tea (cake as well as biscuits with their cuppa) in the hangar tearoom.

The Edithvale Probus Club also had an enjoyable visit.

The AGM was held in November.  The elected group is the same as for last year.  Their first meeting will be in December.

We're still waiting for a decision re our shift to Hangar 1.  A report, due February next year, will help the process along.

The latest restoration effort is an engine mounting dynofocal.  If there is anyone who could help with information please contact us.

Seniors' Week

During Seniors' Week we ran a special presentation at the hangar.  There were over 80 people who attended the function but unfortunately over 50 had to be turned away.  Next year we will have to run sessions over 2 days.

We had a special welcome from John Temby, our President, followed by a Powerpoint presentation by Dave Miller & Nat Eichler.  The tours of the aircraft were popular & people stayed for well over the allotted time of 1 hour.
