Hangar Progress

Oxford tail-wheel

The piping for the fire extinguisher system on A72-176 has been manufactured & assembled. Ron Platt & his grandson, Michael, have recently manufactured the piping for the hydraulics. Michael gave up his school holiday time to work on the Liberator.

Research is being carried out on the waist-guns ammunition delivery system; at this stage, we are focusing mainly on the tracks & boxes.

Also, the fit-out of the engine nacelles is progressing at a steady rate.

By the way, the hangar is currently undergoing an extensive clean-up. And there have been many surprise finds!

Restoration of the Oxford tail wheel assembly is now finished - and looking good!
