Werribee Rotary Club Dinner
On Tuesday night the 17th May, 2011, around 50 Rotarians from Werribee visited the hangar. They were given an inspection tour of the B24 restoration. The tour included the unforgettable experience of observing the wild, throaty bark of an R1830 radial engine running (complete with the impressive plume of thick, white smoke on start up, of course).
Afterwards, there was a great atmosphere in the WWII hangar as they listened attentively to a speech on the history and heritage of the Werribee Field; an appropriate setting for such a topic while enjoying their dinner.
